Loyal
This album was recorded Nov 2003 thru July 2004 at Waterstreet Studios, Seattle Wa USA.
Album Trivia:
Upon hearing roughs of this recording, Chris Squire suggested a Conspiracy and Treason tour featuring material ultimately released as the Conspiracy LIVE DVD along with live performances of Loyal. The Treason Loyal band was ultimately re-christened White and this recording was used to invite management, promotion, and investment. Slated to be released as White: Loyal (New Day, a briefly considered alternate album name, was quickly dismissed), these tracks demonstrate the joy, power and potential of the Loyal band. In the end, Sherwood, Schellen and Stockwell felt that the chosen management and label did not have the drive nor experience necessary for a successful tour and withdrew.

An earlier set of recordings based out of Merkaba sessions were never completed. Material slated for a follow on Treason record, along with new material written primarily by Ted Stockwell and vocalist Kevin Currie, were the basis of Loyal.

This album remains unreleased.

Fate
Music: Ted Stockwell, Lyrics: Kevin Currie, Ted Stockwell
Music was originally written by Ted Stockwell for a documentary on the death of James Byrd of Texas. The lyric evolved around man's never ending quest for the perfect mate and being doomed to an unsatisfying, repeatable fate.

The Way You See Me
Music: Ted Stockwell, Lyrics: Kevin Currie
The last song written for Loyal. This song was written for people who have so much potential, but sell themselves short - not being able to see themselves as others do. Karl Haug sounds incredible on electric guitar!

DreamAway
Music: Ted Stockwell, Lyrics: Kevin Currie, Ted Stockwell
The song that started this project. This song was written by Ted Stockwell for his then recently separated wife, Kelly. There were too many lights outs and the pain is readily heard in this recording. This song was recorded as a 4 piece band.

New Day
Music: Ted Stockwell, Lyrics: Kevin Currie, Ted Stockwell
Have you ever felt you wanted to shake off the world and start over? This song was recorded live off the floor at Waterstreet. The super high vocal is Steve Boyce - fantastic job! Interestingly, Ted wrote it with YES in mind. Funny if you think about it.

Up
Music: Ted Stockwell
The title is a play on words - I'm so down, down seems UP to me. Written by Stockwell for his ex, Kelly this was the only instrumental on the album. Alan White described it as a melody that will haunt you forever. A real showcase for the Treason boys

Mighty Love
Music: Steve Boyce, Lyrics: Steve Boyce
Originally a reggae song, production was taken in a Led Zeppelin vein - Fool in the Rain was a model. If you listen to Karl Haug's guitar solo, you'll get it. A great song by Steve Boyce.

Kevin Currie: Vocals & Background Vocals; Ted Stockwell: Hammond C2, piano, Andromeda A6, prophet 5, acoustic & electric guitars; Steve Boyce: Electric Guitars, Bass & Background Vocal; Alan White: Drums; Karl Haug: Electric Guitars

Burn All The Maps
Words & Music: Boyce, Hogan, Cooper-Edens, Currie
A great song from the vault of Boyce/Hogan. It was stripped of the BGs, a slide guitar part was put into the arrangement and several lyrics were touched a bit. Karl Haug was brought in as a session player for this before he was in the band.
